Epping Workforce Housing

-“Land Use Regulations in New Hampshire.”
“The lack of affordable workforce housing does have an impact on the New Hampshire economy. Demographic research shows that New Hampshire is losing its young people and its entry level workers, and the lack of affordable workforce housing is playing a substantial role.”
Responding to Community Need
In efforts to mitigate New Hampshire’s housing crisis and labor shortage, real estate developers in Epping have proposed a phased- in 315 unit apartment complex supporting workforce housing that will provide excellent residential housing for middle-income workers, such as teachers, first responders, and medical workers. The project, called “The Residences at Epping Station,” will be situated between Epping and Fremont, just south of NH Route 101. The location is optimal, as it sits adjacent to a 48-mile stretch of Epping’s rail-trail and offers convenient walking access to shopping, a movie theater, and other community amenities.
